Some organisations have purchased GIS software, and even spatial data that they don’t know how to use, or setup. Alternatively organisations have identified the benefits of utilising an internal Geographic Information System (GIS), but don’t know where to start. Spatial Insights has the experience and the know-how to get this process under way.
A full scope of your organisation would include IT infrastructure, existing database systems and data formats, identified GIS requirements, internal systems and processes, and resources including allocated personnel and data sources. The scoping process may even highlight potential additional GIS deliverables ie additional organisational processes that could benefit from the GIS system.
The implementation of the internal GIS includes system design from data input, data processing, workspace design, and output of identified deliverables, as well as training of identified personnel. Feedback and monitoring processes are also implemented where necessary.
